Right of Cancellation for Consumers
Consumers have a statutory right of cancellation.
A consumer is any natural person who enters into a legal transaction for purposes that are predominantly outside their trade, business or profession.
Cancellation Policy for Physical Goods
Right to Cancel
You have the right to cancel this contract within fourteen days without giving any reason.
The cancellation period is fourteen days from the day on which you, or a third party named by you who is not the carrier, have taken possession of the goods.
If you ordered several goods in one order and they are delivered separately, the cancellation period is fourteen days from the day on which you, or a third party named by you who is not the carrier, have taken possession of the last goods.
If goods are delivered in several partial shipments or pieces, the cancellation period is fourteen days from the day on which you, or a third party named by you who is not the carrier, have taken possession of the last partial shipment or the last piece.

You may use the model cancellation form below, but this is not mandatory.
You may also use any electronic cancellation function provided on our website. If you use such a function, we will confirm receipt of your cancellation on a durable medium, for example by e-mail.
To meet the cancellation deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right of cancellation before the cancellation period has expired.
Effects of Cancellation
If you cancel this contract, we will reimburse all payments received from you, including the costs of standard delivery.
This does not include additional costs resulting from your choice of a delivery method other than the least expensive standard delivery offered by us.
We will make the reimbursement without undue delay and no later than fourteen days from the day on which we receive your notification of cancellation.
We will use the same means of payment that you used for the original transaction, unless expressly agreed otherwise with you. You will not incur any fees because of this reimbursement.
We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back or until you have supplied evidence that you have sent back the goods, whichever is earlier.
You must send back or hand over the goods without undue delay and in any event no later than fourteen days from the day on which you inform us of your cancellation.
The deadline is met if you send back the goods before the fourteen-day period has expired.
You bear the direct costs of returning the goods.
You are only liable for any diminished value of the goods if this loss in value results from handling other than what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods.
Cancellation Policy for Digital Content
Consumers generally also have a statutory right of cancellation for digital content that is not supplied on a physical data carrier.
However, the right of cancellation expires early if you have expressly agreed that we begin performance of the contract before the cancellation period has expired and you have acknowledged that you lose your right of cancellation once performance begins.
This consent is requested separately during checkout where required.
Digital content includes, in particular, PDFs, ePubs, digital books, digital articles, digital downloads and comparable electronically supplied content.
Once the digital content has been made available after your express consent and acknowledgement, cancellation may no longer be possible.
Cancellation Policy for Paid Memberships
If you purchase a paid membership, you generally have a statutory right of cancellation as a consumer.
The cancellation period is fourteen days from the day on which the membership contract is concluded.

If you expressly agree that access to digital membership content begins before the cancellation period has expired and you acknowledge that you lose your right of cancellation once performance begins, your right of cancellation may expire early with the activation of access.
If the membership includes recurring payments, cancellation of the recurring membership for the future is separate from the statutory cancellation right. Details on ordinary membership cancellation are provided in the Terms and Conditions and during checkout.
Exclusion or Early Expiry of the Right of Cancellation
The right of cancellation does not exist or may expire early, in particular:
- for contracts for the supply of goods that are not prefabricated and for whose production an individual choice or decision by the consumer is decisive, or which are clearly tailored to the consumer’s personal needs;
- for contracts for the supply of sealed goods which are not suitable for return for reasons of health protection or hygiene, if their seal has been removed after delivery;
- for contracts for the supply of digital content not supplied on a physical data carrier, if the consumer has expressly agreed that performance begins before the cancellation period has expired and has acknowledged that this causes the loss of the right of cancellation once performance begins;
- for paid digital memberships, if access to digital content has begun with the consumer’s express consent and acknowledgement that the right of cancellation is lost once performance begins.
